Chillers are generally used in air conditioning units and industrial cooling. In air conditioning systems, chilled water is usually distributed to heat exchangers or coils in air handling units or other types of terminal equipment for cooling in their respective spaces, and then the cooling water is redistributed back to the condensers to be cooled down. In industrial applications, chilled water or other liquid cooling is pumped through process or laboratory equipment. Industrial chillers are used to control products, mechanisms and factory machinery cooling in all walks of life. Chillers can be divided into water-cooled and air-cooled according to the form of refrigeration. Technically, the energy efficiency ratio of water cooling is 300 to 500 kcal/h higher than that of air cooling. In installation, water cooling needs to be incorporated into cooling towers before use, while air cooling is movable without other assistance.
